The Chadar (Ice Path) to Phuktal Gompa return (18 days)

This arduous and challenging trek takes you along the frozen Zanskar river from Chiling to the spectacular Phuktal gompa and back. It should only be attempted on the advice of local guides because safe passage depends on the ice conditions on the river.

Chiling to Tsomoriri via Markha Valley (15-16 days)

Starting at the picturesque village of Chiling in the lower Zanskar Valley this trek follows the Markha Valley through several villages with the Stok mountains on one side and the Zanskar mountains towering above on the other side.

Lamayuru to Darcha (18-20 days)

This is one of the longest and most spectacular treks in Ladakh. Beginning in the west at Lamayuru and ending in the east at Darcha on the Leh-Manali road the trail crosses the Zanskar mountains and ends in the main Himalayan Range.

Rumtse to Tso Moriri (8 days)

Beginning at the village of Rumtse on the Leh-Manali road, this trek covers the rolling hill country of eastern Ladakh and ends at the dramatic high altitude lake of Tso Moriri.

Starting along a river valley the trail passes spectacular eroded cliffs and ascends to Kumur La (4770m) and skirt around the salt lake of Tso Kar where herds of kiang (wild ass) and birds can be seen.

Junglam (8-9 days)

This trek crosses both the Zanskar Range and the Stok Range on a journey that takes you across ten passes and through some of the most rugged and beautiful parts of Ladakh.

Chiling to Shang (6 days)

This highly varied trek passes through the popular Markha Valley which includes several villages and some of Ladakh’s most spectacular landscapes. The only pass to cross is at the end of the trek on the final day. You can reach the start point at Chiling by jeep from Leh in 2-3 hours.
